Mill Assistant

We have an opportunity for an experienced Mill Assistant to join our team of casuals in Mile End. On offer is 38 hours per week (Monday - Friday) across day, afternoon and night shift.

The role of a Mill Assistant is to

• Blending and conditioning of wheat
• Wheat/flour sampling and testing
• Daily/weekly cleaning of internal equipment
• Assist Shift Miller with operations as required

What we are looking for

Previous experience working in a milling or food production environment is highly desirable.

• Physically fit and able to climb multiple flights of stairs
• Mechanical aptitude/mechanically minded to learn basics of mill flow
• Problem solving ability
• Basic computer skills to complete online excel records
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions effectively
